It’s the most wonderful time of the year

We are 2 days away from Christmas! I don’t know where this year went. Don’t we say that about time so often? It just “flies”. My daughter is 5 this Christmas, so it’s really one of the firsts she going to remember forever. Although, she never forgets a.n.y.thingggg. *mom eye roll* I wanted so much to make this season the most wonderful time of the year! A time of giving, remembering and making new memories. I had a Christmas activity planned for each day of the month! I was kinda proud of myself, because I made the list back in November! However, we only¬† got to day 1. That’s right, ONE day out of 25!! Epic mom fail! After a bit of a self pity party, a few tears and some quite time, I felt like the Lord was whispering to my heart, “She’s what’s important”. I could try and fill our days with wonder and magical things, but really, it’s about just being with her. Letting her know in all the small ways how much she is loved and adored and treasured! Not just by her dad and I, but by her Heavenly Father! A Father who gave His Son for us. And that, is WONDERFUL!

If time has flown too quickly for you to get Christmas cards out, check out a free download christmascard2016.

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, full of lots of small moments of love, grace and joy!

Happy New Year,

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Sending some LOVE

Right now it’s snowing in Denver, Pennsylvania, JUST as we were seeing the green grass after a record 3 feet of snow in one day! I am not a fan of Winter…nope! However, I try to find the beauty in each season, and Winter brings Valentine’s Day! While it’s easy to give into the commercial aspect of this “holiday” (I will take a big box of Godiva if you wanna send it my way) it doesn’t have to be about buying another stuffed teddy bear, chocolates and roses. I enjoy Valentines Day because it serves as a reminder to pause and be thankful for the love you have in your life. Family, friends, spouses, and most importantly, the love we have in Christ! We could ALL use a day where we think outside of ourselves and bless others!

So, in the spirit of love, we are giving away a FREE Valentine’s Day card printable template!! If you are behind the ball with professing your love and gratitude to the special people in your life, fret not, all you need is a printer, white card stock and scissors or paper trimmer! Links are below the photo.

This hand-drawn card was inspired by the 2 colors Pantone has chosen as the color of the year for 2016! Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue are already sweeping the wedding industry with beautiful dresses, flowers, and of course invitations inspired by these 2 colors!
