Frequently Asked Questions
How do I start a custom order?
Head to the RSVP Wedding tab and fill out the questionnaire to get us the details of your special event!
What occasions do you design invitations for?
Beginning in 2019, RSVP Love specializes in only custom wedding stationery. From Save the Dates, to your invitation suite, to all of your day of print and even thank you cards!
Can you design other printed pieces for my event?
I’m kind of obsessed with coordinating pieces!! They are the best way to personalize your event and make a big impact! I’ll work with you to make your event feel cohesive with other print including: Programs, menus, favors, place and escort cards, table numbers, signs and other custom pieces to give your special day an extra touch of personalization.
Can I purchase any of the artwork designed, such as a monogram, to use on other projects for the event?
Yes. There is a variable fee based on what is being purchased and how it will be used. No artwork may be used beyond the materials of the original intent without permission.
When should I order my invitations?
For wedding invitations we recommend our initial consultation take place at least 4 to 6 months before you would like your invitations sent out. Save the date design should begin 2 months before your mailing date—which is usually 8–12 months before your event. Turnaround time after approval varies on each order, but typically is within 3-4 weeks.
When should I send out my invitations?
I create a custom timeline for each couple, so you don’t have to do any of the guessing of when things should be mailed! I do recommend sending wedding invitations 6-8 weeks before your RSVP’s are due. This gives you extra time to make your final list and provide us with guest information for other print materials, such as place cards or seating charts.
What other services to you provide?
To make your special day less stressful, I assemble, do your guest addressing, affix postage and personally drop off your invitations at the post office to ensure your invitations are well taken care! You don’t have to lift a finger when RSVP Love is taking care of your stationery needs!
Are you able to provide final samples?
Due to the custom nature of our designs and printing setup costs, we do not offer hard samples. Only digital PDF proofs are available. In some cases a digital printed proof is possible at a small fee. All artwork samples will be provided as PDF proofs and emailed to you for your approval.
Should I order extra sets?
Ordering extra is always recommended. Plan to order an extra 10-20% to allow for unexpected guest list additions, calligraphy errors and keepsakes.
I’m on a limited budget. Can I afford to go custom?
I like to think of it as, can you afford NOT to go custom? The average time spent per invitation is around 45 hours. Including design, changes, printing, assembly, guest addressing and stamping. So much goes into the biggest event of your life and getting all of your guests the information they need!
How much do custom invitations cost?
Because there are many different factors to costs, such as stock selection, type of printing, and extra embellishments, each invitation is unique in its cost. RSVP Love custom invitations start at $4.50 per 4 piece set. Anticipate to add a dollar more per piece.
